22/11/09 - Horse Training .org News - Horse Training .org Clicker Training Demo at the 2009 Bendigo National Equine Expo

Larundel Gameboy and Georgia Bruce spent the last two days demonstrating clicker training horses at the Bendigo National Equine Expo.
Gameboy was very worried about the crowds and atmosphere at first. Georgia explained how clicker training worked and demonstrated a simple training session with Gameboy that resulted in him becoming relaxed and confident with a crowd.
Georgia and Gameboy also demonstrated some advanced lunging techniques incorporating clicker training to achieve natural self carriage on the lunge at the walk trot and canter, as well as balanced transitions.
Larundel Gameboy and Georgia Bruce travelled over 5000kms to appear at the Bendigo National Horse Expo. They travelled with Dr. Maree Fitzpatrick who was such a fantastic help with the trip. Georgia, Astro and Leo would like to thank Dr. Fitzpatrick for her help on the trip.

Georgia and Gameboy will now head to Bunyip. For a brief rest, followed by dressage training and preparation including a local dressage club competition in victoria.
